| 7 Oct 2026 | Spam protection: Hyperliquid's limits, enforced by the chain An account can hold at most 1,000 open orders (one more per $5M traded, up to 5,000), counted across perps and FCTR/USDC and enforced in the state transition itself, so every validator applies it. Each account gets 10,000 requests plus one per $1 traded, then one every 10 seconds, with extra room for cancels so orders can always be pulled. Per IP: 1,200 request weight a minute, and caps on WebSocket connections and subscriptions. IOC orders are never limited, so a position can always be closed. 19 planted bugs, all caught. | 6 Oct 2026 | Quantum Core: installable, with post-quantum signed releases Quantum Core v0.5.1 installs with one command on macOS and Linux. Each release is signed with ML-DSA-65 (NIST FIPS 204), and the installer refuses any file whose post-quantum signature or checksum doesn't match. Scanning Functor itself found and fixed five scanner bugs, including reporting correct environment-variable key handling as a leak, and missing SHA-256 in Rust code. Install | Product |
| 6 Oct 2026 | Functor publishes its own cryptography inventory Every Functor release is scanned by Quantum Core before it ships and fails on any cryptographic weakness. The resulting CycloneDX 1.6 CBOM is published unedited, with a migration plan for the one quantum-vulnerable part, ECDSA signatures, ahead of NIST's 2035 cut-off. Functor's CBOM | Security |
| 6 Oct 2026 | FCTR/USDC opening auction is collecting orders On the testnet, FCTR/USDC is in its opening auction for about two days. Every order is fully funded, cancels freeze before a random end, and everyone who trades in the opening gets the same price. Test FCTR and mock USDC come from the faucet. The countdown and the indicative price are live on the market page. FCTR/USDC | Testnet |
| 6 Oct 2026 | FLP vaults open on the testnet Two community vaults, like Hyperliquid's HLP but split by risk: a Backstop vault (a share of every trading fee, backstop liquidations) and a Market-making vault. Anyone can deposit mock USDC and own a share. 4-day lock-up; rounding always goes against the person depositing or withdrawing, never the other depositors. Vaults | Testnet |
| 2 Oct 2026 | FCTR/USDC spot market on the testnet FCTR now trades against USDC on the testnet as the chain's native coin (test coins, no value). The 50,000,000 supply is minted once in its published buckets, and the founder's 25% is locked by the chain: 12-month cliff, then 36 months. An order to sell locked coins is refused. The supply panel shows every bucket and its address. Supply panel | Testnet |
| 1 Oct 2026 | Public testnet The trading app now runs against a live test node: BTC, ETH and SOL perpetuals with mock USDC, wallet signatures, one-click trading after a single approval, a faucet, and prices from five exchanges. One validator for now. Open the app | Testnet |
| 29 Sep 2026 | Block execution and public replay Every block now commits a state root, so anyone can replay the chain from genesis and check every balance. Liquidations and funding run automatically each block, in Hyperliquid's published order. | Chain |
| 29 Sep 2026 | Oracle and mark price Validators submit prices and the chain takes the stake-weighted median, but only with more than two-thirds of stake taking part. In tests, a one-block 75% spoof of the order book moves the mark price by 0.28%. | Chain |
| 29 Sep 2026 | Options pricer: seven defects fixed An audit of the options pricer found and fixed seven defects. The worst priced a worthless option at $0.16 per $100 and an $89 option at $0. Prices now match independent references to about one part in a trillion. Options | Product |
| 23 Sep 2026 | Functor Foundation A share of protocol fees is planned to fund STEM scholarships at partner universities, paid through the universities with a published charter and annual report. Foundation | Company |
| 23 Sep 2026 | Quantum Core joins Functor The post-quantum readiness scanner is now part of Functor: engine, docs and site. It has no token of its own, and $FCTR covers both. Quantum Core | Product |
| 19 Sep 2026 | Funding Funding is paid hourly using the standard perpetual funding formula and settled at the oracle price. Payments net to zero across accounts. | Chain |
| 19 Sep 2026 | Perpetual risk limits Added the withdrawal rule, open interest caps and growth limit, maximum order size and oracle price band. A test replaying a 2025 attack on Hyperliquid's HLP vault is rejected. | Chain |
| 19 Sep 2026 | Launch market Added the opening auction, batch auctions with a price collar, and price bands with trading halts. | Chain |
| 19 Sep 2026 | FCTR ledger Added the FCTR ledger with a fixed supply and founder vesting enforced by the chain. | Chain |
| 18 Sep 2026 | Order book and clearinghouse Added the order book with price-time priority, and the clearinghouse with margin, fees and liquidations. | Chain |
| 18 Sep 2026 | Layer-1 Functor will be a layer-1 exchange with FCTR as its native token. Index products have been discontinued. | Company |
| Sep 2026 | Options pricer The options pricer is available on this site. It uses stochastic volatility with self-exciting jumps. | Product |
